About this initiative
The project invites “Every Juan” to practice clean plate dining by avoiding unnecessary food waste and sharing their participation through photos and social media. Participants are encouraged to post their clean plates, tag the Rotary Club of Metro Delta, use the campaign hashtags, and challenge others to participate. By turning an everyday activity—eating a meal—into an environmental commitment, the campaign seeks to build greater public awareness of food waste and encourage sustainable habits within families and communities.
Objectives
The project aims to reduce food waste and promote a culture of responsible and sustainable food consumption by encouraging individuals to take only what they can consume, appreciate the value of food, and inspire others to adopt the same practice. Ultimately, the initiative seeks to demonstrate how small individual actions, when collectively practiced, can contribute to environmental protection, resource conservation, and a more sustainable future.
